Just a short walk from Old Street, our client owned a building with nine apartments and over 24,000sqft of commercial space in need of modernisation. They required expert management to procure contractors, control costs and deliver a high-quality refurbishment of 10,000sqft of workspace.

Our Approach
Acting as Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor, we gathered the employer’s requirements, prepared a robust tender and ran a competitive process with design-and-build fit-out contractors. After analysing quotations and holding interviews, we honed the scope and appointed a leading fit-out contractor to deliver the main CAT A and CAT A+ works.
For additional packages outside their remit, we leveraged our trusted supply chain to save both time and cost. Throughout the build, we administered the contract, managed variations, oversaw valuations and ensured quality through to final handover.
The Outcome
The commercial space was upgraded efficiently and to a high standard, with streamlined procurement and careful contract management delivering value for the client. The refurbished workspace is now positioned to attract tenants and generate long-term returns.
